Canada Chapter Membership Structure
Annual dues are based on total number of employees. Part-time employees count as one-half of a full-time employee.
- Small Level 1: 12 or Less Employees - $500 USD
- Small Level 2: 13-50 Employees - $1000 USD
- 51-100 Employees - $1800 USD
- 101+ Employees - $2500 USD
Regular members are companies currently, regularly and primarily* engaged in the business of providing employment and/or tenant background screening services directly to qualified end-users, such as employers, or businesses. Regular Members may vote and hold office.
*Primarily is defined as firms deriving 50 percent or more of gross annual revenue from screening services.
Annual Dues: $500 USD
Associate Members are companies with screening services sold directly to the retail or end-user generating less than 50 percent of the company's total revenue AND/OR companies currently and regularly engaged in the business of providing services and products to CRAs (consumer reporting agencies.) Associate Members may vote and hold office. Examples of providers: software, background screening research and data, legal resources, fingerprinting and drug screening, marketing and advertising, consulting, verification services, insurance, onsite inspections and compliance systems to CRAs.
Annual Dues: $150 USD
Affiliate Members are companies, individuals and other entities which do not qualify for Regular or Associate Membership but support professionalism in background screening and agree to support and comply with the NAPBS Code of Conduct, Purposes and Bylaws. Affiliate Members are not eligible to vote or hold office. Examples of Affiliate Members are staffing agencies, human resource teams and security professionals.
